Before I Fall (Part 2)

‘Hi everyone. First, let me thank you for coming today. I notice we have a few new faces so I’d like to take a second to explain what this session is and how it works.’

Before I Fall (Part 2) will introduce you to an ordinary group of people. All different, yet all having something in common. Listen to their stories, share your own and be a part of community that understands and sympathises with your troubles.

The production was presented for a second time at Z-Arts in Hulme, July 10th & 11th 2015 funded by v Inspired as part of the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival.

Before I Fall was the first production created from the Drama for Wellbeing programme. By sharing the personal stories of those afflicted, the performance presented challenging and thought-provoking portrayals of depression. Through a continually developing narrative, the production ran as a two-part series taking place in different social settings.

“Before I Fall is a play that puts you at the centre of the mental health debate, and is powerful theatre.” – Quiet Man Dave

“For someone who doesn’t know much about depression, this production was insightful.” – Laura, Salford
